Safeguarding quality assurance visit

A comprehensive, one-day safeguarding review carried out by an experienced safeguarding professional, examining policies, systems and records, alongside conversations with staff and pupils. The visit provides independent assurance that safeguarding arrangements are effective in practice, not just compliant on paper, giving leaders and governors confidence in the school’s safeguarding culture and arrangements.

A clear practical safeguarding improvement plan produces following the quality assurance visit, identifying strengths, gaps and risks, and setting out prioritised actions. The plan supports safeguarding leaders and governors to focus on what matters most, demonstrate continuous improvement, and evidence a clear response to identified safeguarding risks

Half-termly online twilight sessions

Short, half-termly online twilight sessions that keep staff up to date with current safeguarding themes, emerging risks and statutory expectations. These sessions support ongoing professional curiosity and help ensure safeguarding knowledge remains current throughout the year without adding unnecessary burden to school schedules.

Safeguarding risk summary report

A high-level, visual report summarising the findings of the audit and the school’s safeguarding risk profile, using a compliance risks X safeguarding risk matrix. The report provides a shared, accessible view of risk for leaders and governors, enabling informed challenge, strategic oversight and clear reporting at governing body or trust level.

Newsletters and video bulletins

Regular newsletter and short video bulletins providing timely updates on safeguarding guidance, learning from serious case reviews, and emerging national and local issues. This ongoing flow of information helps keep safeguarding visible, relevant and embedded across the whole staff team between formal training points.
